FUTURE VISION

Although Matibabu is relatively young, we have already made tremendous strides. The Matibabu Clinic provides a full panoply of medical services. We plan to expand our ongoing pilot projects to reduce malaria by distributing mosquito netting, and to deworm children, throughout all of Ugenya. U.S. medical professionals will continue to visit Ugenya to teach local healthcare providers and to treat patients. We have excellent working relationships with Government of Kenya personnel and facilities. We have entered into partnerships and working relationships with numerous Kenyan organizations to promote HIV/AIDS awareness and behavior changes.

We have great confidence in the long-term viability of our programs because at every stage Matibabu Foundation works directly and closely with Kenyan people and organizations. Although Matibabu Foundation provides financial support and medical expertise, it is the people of Kenya who built, administer and staff our clinic, and who manage our community programs. We hope that our clinic and our programs will become models that can be replicated throughout Kenya and elsewhere.
